Can you tell us a little about yourself? 

My name is Emily Goldberg. I was born and raised right here in Tucson. I grew up going to everything UA related especially basketball games, my dad was an alum, and both my parents are huge fans. It just made sense for me to attend UA for college and I am very happy I did. I am majoring in Public Health with an emphasis in Global Health. I also work on campus as an EMT for UAEMS where I have served as both an FTO and Deputy Chief of Operations.

Can you tell us a little about yourself? 

I am from Tucson. I am double majoring in computer science and math, and double minoring in environmental science and Chinese language. I chose to study these subjects because I want to develop technologies and software for sustainable agriculture and controlled environment agriculture. I also enjoy traveling and learning languages.

I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I came to the University of Arizona because it is close (but not too close) to home and has a great Physiology program. I am majoring in Physiology with minors in Spanish, Public Health, Psychology and Biochemistry. 

Where will you be serving in the Peace Corps? When will you start? What will you be doing?

I will be serving in Peru starting on September 8, 2020. I will be serving as a Community Health Facilitator.

My name is Megan Irby and I’m from Glendale, Arizona. I came to the University of Arizona because of their premed program and in-state tuition. I’m majoring in mathematics and molecular and cellular biology.

Where will you be serving in the Peace Corps? When will you start? What will you be doing?

I will be going to Zambia on August 16, 2020 to be a maternal/child HIV/AIDS educator.

Please tell us a little about yourself.

I am from Phoenix, Az. As a Global Studies Major with a Human Rights, Migrations and Social Movements emphasis, I started Amnesty International Club to advocate for global human rights and support Amnesty priority campaigns. Currently, I am a UA Global Ambassador and help lead international orientations, the student Buddy Program and study abroad outreach.
